Summer Reads

Great book by Aleksandar Hemon, unpublished at the moment, but definatly worth reading once it comes out, Aug 2009. I'm reading it then writing a comment on the back on a book mark for the website http://www.whiteisforwitching.com/love/index.php?id=9

Down in the Basement

For the past week I have been interning at Raindance Film Festival in Soho. They run a film festival in October of short films and also run courses in SFX and acting/directing. The week started off pretty slow and rather warm, in their underground office in Berwick St. I'm not sure what i was expecting when I applied, but I can safely say that a basement wasn't it. Day two and I had acclimatized to the 'cosy' feeling of the office and got on with pretty mundane task like taking things to the post office and sending things to Belgium and buying 25, 95p stamps. Finally mid week hit and a sprinkling of different tasks were thrown my way. A bit of Marketing, Research and email sending, I was beginning to enjoy myself a lot more and i felt that I had a purpose in the office. The hours passed quite quickly and it is now Friday. I have finished my Internship and on reflection I can say that it was an enjoyable one and I think i'm going to help out during the festival and maybe take some film courses, so, thank you Raindance! Above are some of the things I had to research.
